Our short course on the Fundamentals of Afro and Multi-textured Curly hair is an introductory course designed for Hairstylists/ Make-up Artists/ Session stylists / Bridal Stylists / Hair students who are new to the world of Kinks, Coils and Curls or those who need a refresher.

Natural setting techniques using the following styling methods:
- Flat twist
- Bantu knots
- Single twists

Heat Styling
- Blow dry and smoothing
- Silk press straightening
Braiding and Cornrows
- Hair preparation
- Products (what to use, how to use and when to use)
- Tools (various combs and brushes)
- Step by step process of creating various braids and cornrow styles
- Styling and finish
Care and maintenance of the various styles for curly and tightly coiled hair textures
Tools & Requirements
The styling tools you will need to bring along to all classes are:
Professional hair dryer with diffuser and nozzle, Afro Pick attachment, straightening irons, Tail comb, Large Tooth comb, Cutting comb, Small & Medium Bristle brushes, Paddle Brush, Sectioning clips, Hairdressing scissors.
All the styling-products needed during classes will be provided.
Please note that all students who take our courses must be at least 18 years old and above.
